Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan, mga Repapips! 🇵🇭

Today marks the 127th Philippine Independence Day from Spanish rule—but the big question is: Tayo ba'y tunay na malaya? In this reflective vlog, I share my Independence Day routine and some thoughts on freedom, politics, and our everyday realities as Filipinos.

🛑 I started the day with a solid chest workout with Coach Julio at Awaken Gym, then took time to pray by attending the St. Jude Novena—a grounding experience amid the day’s meaning.

🐾 I also encountered two juvenile stray cats—a white and a tuxedo. Nakakatense! One of them was almost hit by a motorbike while I was feeding them. Nakakaawa talaga ang mga hayop sa lansangan, and it made me think deeper about safety, survival, and compassion—for both animals and people.

And of course, in today’s vlog, I ask: "127 years since we gained independence... pero malaya na ba talaga tayo?" What does freedom even look like for us today—when the realities of poverty, poor governance, and economic struggle are still so present?
